Payal Kapadia's All We Imagine As Light has added another feather to its cap. The Malyalam-Hindi drama has bagged the Best International Feature trophy at the prestigious Gotham Awards 2024 held at Cipriani Wall Street on Monday night in New York.
Accepting her award, Payal said, “It’s our first fiction narrative feature film, so it is super nice to get this.”
Green Border, Hard Truths, Inside the Yellow Cocoon Shell and Vermiglio were the nominees in the category.

'All We Imagine As Light' As A Meta And Micro MeditationComing back to All We Imagine As Light, this is not the first laurel for the film. It won top honour at the Asia Pacific Screen Awards (APSA) 2024 on Sunday. APSA wrote on Instagram that All We Imagine As Light received the Jury Grand Prize.
All We Imagine As Light, which had its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival in May, became the first ever film from India to win the Grand Prix award.
